*In window messengers menu,select action and then request remote assistance and then enter your friend's email address to request for access.
*On the other hand,your friend also should be using window's messeneger and accept the request sent by you.
*After acceptance,you can access his system and rectify the error.
Team viewer can also be used for remote access.
