Itinerary: Delhi - Agra - Gwalior - Khajuraho - Orchha - Bhopal - Jalgaon - Ajanta - Aurangabad – Mumbai
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
A Yatra representative will meet you at a location convenient to you in Delhi and transfer you in an air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel of stay. Check-in at your pre-booked hotel. You are at leisure for the rest of the day to relax or explore around. Spend the night at your hotel.

Day 2: Delhi – Agra
After breakfast, head out for a half-day tour of Old Delhi which includes visits to Raj Ghat and Shanti Van (cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru respectively), Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.

In the afternoon, drive to Agra, about 205 kilometres from Delhi. Check-in at a hotel in Agra and spend the night.

Day 3: Agra – Gwalior (by train)
After breakfast, set out in an air-conditioned vehicle on a half-day tour of Agra. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you will visit the world famous Taj Mahal and Agra Fort (Taj Mahal is closed every Friday). After exploring the historical landmarks of Agra, take the afternoon train to Gwalior. Upon arrival in Gwalior, check-in at a hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring around. Return to the hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 4: Gwalior – Khajuraho
After a lavish breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken on a sightseeing tour of Gwalior and visit the majestic Gwalior Fort and Saas-Bahu Temples. In the afternoon, drive to the erotic temple town of Khajuraho, it is a 5 to 6 hour drive from Gwalior. Take a tour of the Rajput Palace of Govind Mahal at Datia en route. Upon arrival in Khajuraho, check-in at a hotel and spend the night.

Day 5: Khajuraho – Orchha
After breakfast, set out on a short tour of Khajuraho city. Marvel at the architecture of the temples and the intricately carved sculptures of gods and goddesses from Indian mythology. Made of finely grained stone, the colors of the sculptures range from pale buff, pink, yellow and brown. The human body depicted in various sensuous postures is widely found in Khajuraho.

You can also enjoy rickshaw rides or walk through the villages to get a feel of the local way of life. In the afternoon, leave for Orchha by road, about 170 kilometres from Khajuraho. Upon arrival, check-in at a hotel for your overnight stay. Visit the grand Rajput palaces and temples of 16th and 17th century in the evening.

Day 6: Orchha - Jhansi - Bhopal
After breakfast, you will be driven to Jhansi Railway Station (about 16 kilometres) to board the train for Bhopal (Bhopal Shatabadi at 1051/1405 hours). Upon arrival in Bhopal, check-in at a pre-booked hotel. Make a late afternoon visit to the Museum of Man, Jama Masjid and view a few other examples of contemporary architecture.

After exploring the historical monuments and architectural marvels of Bhopal, return to your hotel and spend the night.

Day 7: Bhopal - Jalgaon
A sumptuous breakfast will gear you up for a daylong excursion to Sanchi Stupa and the Buddhist caves at Vidisha. After sightseeing in the city, return to Bhopal Railway Station to board an overnight train for Jalgaon. Spend the night in the train.

Day 8: Jalgaon - Ajanta – Aurangabad
On arrival in Jalgoan early morning, set out on a drive to Ajanta. Explore the famous 6th century Buddhist excavations and frescoes in Ajanta Caves. In the afternoon, drive to Aurangabad and check-in at a hotel. Aurangabad is about 153 kilometres from Jalgaon. Spend the night at your hotel.

Day 9: Aurangabad - Mumbai
After breakfast, head out for a half-day sightseeing tour of Ellora Caves, 6th - 7th century Buddhist caves and Bibi-ka-Maqbara, and let your guide tell you about the fascinating history of these sites. In the evening, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Mumbai. Check-in at a hotel in Mumbai for your overnight stay.

Day 10: Departure from Mumbai
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be dropped at the international airport or any location in Mumbai convenient to you for your onward journey.

- Standard check-in/check-out times at all hotels will be 12 noon.
