Jet Airways on - time performance soars 89.9% in May 2010

June 18, 2010: Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, and Jet Lite, a wholly owned subsidiary, have achieved the best on time performance in May, as per the figures released by the Director General of Civil Aviation.

The two airlines topped all other domestic airlines operating in India in respect of On-Time Performance.

The May, which is the peak summer season, has seen a sharp turnaround following the unwavering dedication and commitment displayed by the staff of Jet Airways and Jet Lite on the network which has played a decisive role in enhancing Jet Airways and Jet Lite OTP.

During May, Jet Airways has recorded its On-time performance to 88.9 per cent. Jet Lite has outperformed all the airlines with 89.9 per cent in May.

The month of May has also seen the airline carrying 8.69 lakh revenue passengers registering a sharp 41.2 per cent growth as compared to the same period last year with a seat factor of 82.5 per cent. Likewise, Jet Lite also posted seat factor of 85.3 per cent during the same period carrying over 4.02 lakh passengers.

The airline has achieved phenomenal growth factor owing to its operational efficiencies and sound line maintenance practices. May has been a peak season and the Jet Airways has risen to the occasion to ensure that the guests are on time at their destinations.”
