1 Nights/2 Days
The fastest growing metropolis in India, Bangalore is the face of India’s IT revolution. A modern, cosmopolitan city, Bangalore was the capital of the mighty Vijayanagara Empire and then the administrative hub for South India during the British Raj. Also known as the Garden City, a quick break in Bangalore offers unexpected delights even to the most seasoned travellers.
Day 1: Bangalore
A Yatra Representative will greet you at the airport and assist your transfer to the hotel in an air-conditioned car. Upon arrival, check-in at pre-booked hotel.
The earliest historical mention of Bangalore dates back to 900 CE, but it was only in 1537 that Kempe Gowda I established a mud fort here and declared Bangalore to be a province of the Vijayanagara Empire. Today it is a cosmopolitan and modern city, attracting industry, commerce, artists, students, and plenty of foreign investment! Once a little British stronghold in the South, it retains a distinct British flavor.
On your first day in the city, embark on a sightseeing tour of the city’s gardens, Starting the Cubbon Park, which is spread over 100 acres, and showcases the opulence of Bangalore’s flora. During the course of the drive you can view the Maharaja’s Palace, Indian Institute of Science, Public Library, State Government Museum, and Vidhana Soudha, an imposing structure in granite built in the Dravidian style. Your tour will also include visits to see the Bull Temple and the Mysore Arts and Craft Center.
