About Mysore:
The cultural capital of Karnataka, till the time of India’s independence in1947 it was the capital of the Kingdom of Mysore. The city of silk sarees and sandalwood, the city is a haven for craftsmen. This serene town has sprawling gardens, tree-lined boulevards, art galleries, palaces, and a population that treasures its glorious history.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Bangalore – Mysore
Upon arrival in Bangalore, a Yatra Representative will greet you at the airport and assist your transfer to Mysore in an air-conditioned car. The 145 kilometre drive, via Srirangapatnam will take about 4 hours. Once in Mysore, check in at your pre-booked hotel.

Mysore is the Tipu Sultan, writer RK Narayan, cartoonist RK Laxman, and was once the capital of the mighty Wodeyar Kingdom. It is still one of the finest cities of southern India

On your sightseeing tour of the city, visit Mysore Palace, once the seat of power of the ruling Wodeyars, is one of the largest of its kind in India and one of the most splendid. Then, it’s on to St. Philomena’s Cathedral, a large Gothic-styled church with beautiful stained glass windows. Also visit Chamundi Hills. Halfway up is the Nandi Bull, a 4.8-meter monolith in homage to the mighty deity. Right on top is the 2000-year-old Chamundeswari Temple, dedicated to the patron goddess of the erstwhile royal family.

At the end of the tour, proceed to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Mysore – Bangalore
After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, drive to Bangalore for your onward journey.
